DESCRIPTION:

The Adjustable Wattmeter - Model 5512-00 is a compact versatile instrument used for direct measurement of forward and reflected radio frequency power. Due to the wide band capability and dynamic range, the Adjustable Wattmeter does not require the use of any inserts or bandswitching.

The 20 µA taut band meter movement is shock-mounted in a rugged DIECAST case making the Adjustable Wattmeter ideal for mobile radio installation in aircraft or ground vehicles as well as base stations.

This wide band Adjustable Wattmeter covers the Frequency of 25 to 1000 MHz with a power range of 5 to 500 Watts. The Adjustable Wattmeter movement can be turned off for rough handling when not in use. A leather carrying strap is provided to facilitate portability of the Adjustable Wattmeter.

The Adjustable Wattmeter - Model 5512-02 option provides an RF sampling port with an output 40dB below the transmission line level to use for measurement of frequency or spectrum analysis. The Adjustable Wattmeter has been designed to accurately extract a low level of RF power as it passes through the instrument. This input and output port is made available to a BNC connector located on the side of the Adjustable Wattmeter. It allows for injecting an input signal into the unit under test or can be used for spectrum analysis and frequency measurements without affecting the operation of the Adjustable Wattmeter.

Included is a 6 ft (1.8 m) BNC to BNC cable, various adapters, and a 15 Watt dummy load. An optional sturdy carrying case is recommended to protect the portable Adjustable Wattmeter.
